Welcome to the Northern Virginia Cornhole Association!

First off...welcome all to the homepage of the Northern Virginia Cornhole Association (est. 2008). The NOVACA is dedicated to the spread of Cornhole (aka Bags, Beanbags, Tailgate Toss etc). If you have never played, it is a blast. Simply put, teams of two try to toss beanbags in a hole on a board approx 30 feet away. Three points for a "cornhole," (in the hole) one point for a "woody" (on the board, not in the hole). Rules, board dimensions, court layout etc can all be found here. Cornhole was developed as a safer, more portable version of horseshoes. It can be played while drinking. In fact, drinking is encouraged while playing cornhole.

Boards are decorated in a variety of different fashions, usually in the colors of the board owner's favorite sports team. While the game started primarily in the midwest, it is fast becoming a staple at tailgates and backyard barbecues everywhere. So if you're in the Northern Virginia/DC area and want to start playing, check in here often. We will be hosting tournaments from time to time, and as the NOVACA grows, so will our webpage. Questions? Want to be part of NOVACA? E-mail us at novacornholeassociation@gmail.com.
